The ring will glow as the face of American Muay Thai, Kevin Ross takes on the talented Asa Ten Pow.
Muay Thai in America has been quiet due to Covid 19 but Triumphant is coming out with a blazing card.
The headlining event is a scorcher. It is a World Muay Thai Council World Belt challenge. And the match between Ross and Ten Pow is hotly anticipated by fans all over the world.
Ross has been a pioneer in the sport. He has fought notable names such as Saenchai PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym, Sagatdao Petchphayathai, and Malaipetch Sasiprapa.
The Soul Assasin will be fighting for his second WMC belt. He captured the WMC Intercontinental title at 63.5kg in 2015.
Ross is returning to Muay Thai after a long stint of kickboxing. Yet he has maintained his status as a leader of American Muay Thai.
“I've felt, always felt a sense of responsibility and pushing myself and pushing the sport. A sport that saved my life turned my life around and changed everything for me. I have to give as much as myself to it and the fans,” Ross said.
Florida native Asa Ten Pow is a rising star in the sport. He is looking to take a claim on the sport.
Ten Pow had a notable run with Glory, a worldwide Kickboxing federation. He went 6-1 over a very quick year and a half. He’s also fought at notable locations in Thailand and for the IFMA games.
For Ten Pow the fight is especially important because he gets to perform in front of his parents. His father was recently diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer.
“That he gets to come to that as well as my mother is the biggest thing,” Ten Pow said. “My mother has never come to my fights. Now she's going to see me fight for a world title. My parents started me in this and my father kept me in it.”
Set for a WMC title Ross will take on Ten Pow at the famed James Knight Center. The large venue will host a crowd of 1,000 (due to Covid restrictions) and the seats are going fast.
Also slated to be on the card are other international standouts like Bekah Irwin, Iman Barlow, Jason Andrada, Thai Barlow, Troy Jones, Amine Ballafrikh, Tierra Brandt, Coral Carnicella, and more.
The bout will be live streamed on Fite TV.
